ABOUT JONES AUDIO PRODUCTIONS

Jones Audio Productions was founded by producer/engineer Michael Jones. Educated at UNCA (BS) and NYU (MMMT), Michael has worked in the audio production industry since 1987. He began his recording career at studios in North Carolina and New York City.

In 1995 he served as the Radio Officer and 3rd Mate of the Research Vessel Heraclitus for most of that year. While aboard, sailing from Miami to Crete, Greece, he conducted research for his master's thesis on underwater sound recording.

Upon returning to New York City, Michael became the Chief Audio Engineer of PRI's "Afropop Worlwide." In addition he began to expand his business to include the international film and television industry working as a location sound recordist.

He has recorded music and production sound in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Morocco, Senegal as well as all over the US and EU.

His clients include HBO, ABC, MTV, A&E, Target, Best Buy, Bank of America, and The National Geographic Channel.
